THE FOUNDER
Dr. Mechelle Acero Palma is a Family Medicine physician and Lifestyle Medicine Specialist. She finished her culinary coaching course at the Harvard School of Medicine facilitated by the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine and attended trainings at the Goldring School of Culinary Medicine, Natural Gourmet Institute and Rouxbe cooking school. Having a passion for utilizing cooking to encourage healthy eating habits on her patients, she developed the first training design and curriculum on Culinary Medicine in Asia that was launched in 2016 and is now utilized in many different educational platform. The course was designed for clinicians, coaches, chefs and other practitioners to explore the vast benefit of nutrition prescription and translating them into the kitchen to yield healthy versions of staple foods mainly from plant-based sources. She developed the Doctor's Teaching Kitchen to provide a conducive venue for NUTRITION COACHING and CULINARY MEDICINE SKILLS development.

Philippine College of Lifestyle Medicine (PCLM) is the first Medical Specialty Society in Asia for health care professionals who utilize lifestyle interventions as the primary therapeutic tool in the treatment and management of disease. The PCLM serves its members by advancing the filed of lifestyle medicine, promoting excellence in clinical and advocating on behalf of medical and public policy issues related to the practice and promotion of lifestyle medicine.
Philippine Board of Lifestyle Medicine
The Philippine Specialty Board of Lifestyle Medicine (PSBLM) is composed of active PCLM diplomates and fellows in both clinical practice and in the academe. PSBLM is duly appointed by the PCLM National Board & Officials to set and maintain standards for assessment and credentialing through the conduct of certifying examinations for Physicians, allied health professionals and other practitioners. Certification given by the Board signifies specialized knowledge in the practice of lifestyle medicine and other related modalities.
