Culinary Medicine Certification Exam
The Culinary Medicine Certification Exam is a comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate knowledge, practical skills, and clinical application of culinary medicine principles in healthcare and community settings.
The certification process is composed of two parts:
🔹 1. Online Proctored Theoretical Examination
This component assesses foundational knowledge in nutrition science, culinary medicine, chronic disease management, behavior change, food safety, and culturally sensitive dietary practices. It is conducted online under secure, proctored conditions to ensure integrity and accessibility for candidates across regions.
🔹 2. In-Person Oral and Practical Examination
This hands-on component evaluates the ability to apply culinary medicine in real-world contexts. Candidates will demonstrate practical food preparation skills, patient counseling techniques, and case-based clinical decision-making. The oral exam also assesses critical thinking and communication in the context of nutrition-focused care.
Successful completion of both components leads to formal certification, signifying competence in integrating food and culinary practices into evidence-based clinical and public health interventions.
